Experience, traditions and innovative approach - these are the main values which we, the staff of Sėklos agricultural company, follow at our work. The company currently employs 176 employees. Agronomists, product group managers who have long years of experience, our shop-assistants who work in our stores are good advisors, experienced professionals and real experts in their work.
We are the largest supplier of vegetable, flower, herb, grass seeds, flower bulbs and forage root vegetable seeds not only in Lithuania but also in the Baltic states. In addition to seeds, we supply soil, substrates, compost and fertilizers to the Baltic state markets, as well as to Russia and Belarus.
We pack and supply to the market more than 20 million packets of seeds per year in the manufacturing unit of the company covering one hectare. Annually, we supplement seed lines with about 100 new varieties of seeds. So today, nearly 1,000 different names of seed varieties make our seed lines.
More than 60 years of experience, long-term cooperation and close relationships with reliable seed growers around the world, the investment for the improvement of seed production and packaging technology and process allows us to ensure a high standard of quality of seeds. Triple verification is applied to our marketed seeds: they are controlled by laboratories of producers, the State Crop Service and Sėklos agricultural company. We are the only company in Lithuania which prepacks seeds in hermetic packaging.
We represent more than 100 local and 30 foreign producers and seed growers. We collaborate with partners in the USA, Germany, Holland, Russia, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Italy and Denmark. On the market in the Baltic States we strive to be unrivaled not only by quality but also by innovations. We follow market trends and update our range of products every year.
We were the first to provide the retail market in the Baltic States with the only one line of eco-friendly seeds in 2009, seeing that increasingly more people value ecology. We are a certified eco-friendly seed packing company, all our seed packages bear the logo of eco-friendly product of the European Union, and seeds are packed in accordance with mandatory requirements for eco-friendly production.
We were the first to introduce the only one and specially designed line for herb and rare plant seeds on the Baltic market in 2010. We offer more than 70 different varieties of herb and rare plant seeds to our customers.
In 2011, we introduced Liucia Elite line of seeds to the market - this is a premium seed line consisting of seeds for sprouts, seeds of rare vegetables and flowers and seeds attached on a tape.
In 2011, our substrate and soil lines were complemented by an innovation - Organix compost soil for herbs, vegetables and tomatoes. This is the compost soil with eco-friendly and natural minerals prepared under a special formula by professionals.
We have more than 1,000 wholesale outlets in the Baltic countries, trading our seeds, substrate, soil, fertilizer and compost.
We are the largest retailers in the Baltic States. Currently, we own a network of more than 50 branded shops Žalia Stotelė and Žaliasis Centras all over the Lithuania. In 2010, first shops were opened in Latvia based on the franchise. We offer a wide and diverse range of products to our customers. We take care of everything you might need while gardening or improving your home environment, as well as handling your houseplants.
