Ecological seeds

Ecological seeds are the products grown on organic farms, processed, packaged, labeled, stored, transported and sold in accordance with specific requirements.

Vegetables grown from ecological seeds are eco-friendly - this is especially important to people who value the benefits of organic product consumption and consciously choose products not only according to their price, but also in terms of their health status, interests and beliefs.

From a large assortment of seeds that agricultural companys "Sėklos" has to offer, ecological seeds could be noticed because of their new packaging and a marking that says "Ecological seeds". We are a certified eco-friendly seed packing company, all our seed packages bear the logo of eco-friendly product of the European Union and seeds are packed in accordance with mandatory requirements for eco-friendly production.

Vegetables have great nutritional properties and quality

Vegetables grown from certified ecological seeds have good nutritional value, good taste and aroma.

Since the trade season 2009, agricultural company "Seklos" has included vegetable species and varieties that show great resistance to pests and diseases and are most adapted to local soil and climate conditions. While choosing plant species, well-known, time-tested and species and varieties popular among growers were favored.

Natural and eco-friendly

Only organic and mineral fertilizers of natural origin (manure, compost, lime, wood ash, phosphate or magnesium rocks etc.) are used while growing ecological seeds. In order to fight off pests and diseases, products of natural origin, made of plants which have pesticide properties, are used.

These seeds are not genetically modified

While growing ecological fruit and vegetables from ecological seeds, people spare the environment, save biodiversity and are not polluting soil, air, water.

Ecological seeds are grown in certified eco-friendly production farms, where ecological seed production fields are located as far away from roads and other fields, where chemical plant protection measures and fertilizers are used, as possible. The seeds are grown in specific greenhouses while paying close attention to seed and crop rotation, greenhouse disinfection and compliance with agro-technological requirements.

Certified ecological seeds

Only certified seed growers have the right to sell ecological seeds. Certificates are issued only to those eco-friendly seed farms that meet the requirements of organic agriculture rules.

Seed crop in eco-friendly seed farms is carefully and regularly inspected in order to verify their compliance with the requirements.

Dill is one of the most popular seasoning and medical plants. Easy to grow, are tolerant to shade.
If you want fresh dill all summer, sow every 10 days. 10 m2 of sowing space requires 20g of seeds.
Green and dried leaves, blossoms, sterns are used for food. Suitable for freezing and / or canning.
